What are the dates and times of the program?

  • The program starts Tuesday 10 September.
  • Teaching time is weekday evenings from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • Office hours are held 45 minutes before class and 30 minutes after class.
  • TES reserves the right to adjust the course schedule and locations as necessary to accommodate instructors’ schedules and events beyond the control of TES.

Can I keep working while studying at ESMT Coding Boot Camp?

Yes. The program is designed for working professionals who are actively seeking career change.

How long is the program?

Students will complete the program in six months.

Do you provide career planning support?

  • All of our students receive pre-graduation career support and coaching, and soft skills training and the support needed to strengthen their portfolio.
  • In order to qualify for post-graduation Career Services support, you must successfully complete the program, have legal status to work in Germany and have an approved resume and portfolio of projects, completed and approved by Career Services four weeks prior to graduation.

Do I need to have previous experience in programming before enrolling?

No. While having some background can help, we have 50 hours of online pre-course tutorials that will get you up to speed and ready to start learning on Day 1.

What sets your boot camp apart from others I can join in Berlin or elsewhere?

  • The Coding Boot Camp is a part-time program that allows working professionals to study web development without leaving work.
  • Career support and coaching in collaboration with Trilogy Education Services.
  • The Coding Boot Camp curriculum is built based on the most in-demand technologies specific to the Berlin market.

How many hours a week is the program?

  • You can expect to spend approximately 10-12 hours per week in class.
  • To be successful our students spend an average of an additional 20 hours per week preparing for class, completing homework and career services assignments.

What are the requirements to complete the program?

  • In order to receive a certificate of completion for the program, you must:
    • Fulfill your payment obligations prior to the end date of the program.
    • Attend a minimum of 95% of the class sessions.
    • Complete 90% of your homework assignments, including 100% of all project work.
    • Homework and projects are graded.

What is the tuition fee?

  • The tuition fee is – €8000.
  • A deposit of €1000 – is required to secure your place in the program.
  • There are no additional fees for textbooks or software.

What are the payment options?

  • A deposit of €1000 is required to secure your place in the program. Deposit payments can be made by Credit Card or bank transfer.
  • Individuals can then either pay the tuition in full by Saturday 8 June 2019 to be eligible for a €800 early registration discount or arrange a payment plan and pay in installments. To find out more, please call +49 30 3119 8066 to speak with an Admissions Advisor.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?

  • Until one week after start date of the course you are entitled to cancel your registration and eligible for a refund of the deposit paid to us by you.
  • After one week of the course start date, the course can not be cancelled and there is no eligibility for any refund.

What are the computer requirements?

  • You will be required to bring your own laptop, which meets the following requirements:
    • Windows at least 8 GB Ram with a dual core processor (64 bit)
    • Mac over 2 years old – 8 GB Ram and dual core processor
    • Mac under 2 years

What are the entry requirements?

  • In order to enrol in the program:
    • You must be over 18 years of age.
    • You must have a high school diploma (Arbitur) or equivalent.
    • You must meet the English Language proficiency requirements outlined below.
    • You must have passed the admissions interview, coding test and academic interview.
    • You must have paid the deposit.

How do I prove my level of proficiency in English?

  • Non-native speakers of English must demonstrate a strong command of the English language, which will be assessed in the admissions interviews.
  • In case of any doubt, an applicant might be asked to pass a test such as a TOEFL or similar.

Is the program accredited?

  • Students who successfully complete the boot camp will be awarded a Certificate of Completion from ESMT Berlin, in collaboration with Trilogy Education Services. The program is not accredited.

Prerequisite for the program: The ESMT Berlin Coding Boot Camp is taught in English. Applicants who are non-native speakers will therefore need to demonstrate that they have the minimum level of proficiency in English required to successfully complete the program.
